HARDWARE SUPPORT SERVICES

   Our core business is to provide onsite hardware break/fix services.  We diagnose an issue with your computer/IT hardware and provide the hands-on repair. 

 

   This could involve replacing a failing part, performing preventative maintenance (cleaning/adjusting) or updating software such as drivers/firmware/operating system patches.  

 

   We repair PCs, laptops, printers, servers, Point of Sale (POS), scanners, copiers and more.  We specialize in Lenovo branded devices including: ThinkPad & IdeaPad laptops, ThinkCentre PCs, ThinkServers, ThinkSystem Compute nodes commonly found in an Enterprise DataCentre running cloud and HPC (high performance computing).  

 

   FraserBay Solutions also performs preventative maintenance and repair on most models of Lexmark Laser printers and Lexmark multi-function devices that include printing/scanning/copying.

 

   We also repair and maintain various cash handling devices such as ATMs, Cash dispensers and Cash recyclers found in most North American Banking institutions.  We also maintain and repair various types of IBM tape libraries and IBM disk storage products.

PROJECT SUPPORT SERVICES

   FraserBay Solutions provides a wide range of project duties commonly known as IMAC services.  IMAC is an acronym which stands for: Installations, Moves, Adds, Changes. 

 

   This type of service usually involves removing old IT equipment and installing new IT equipment.  We will follow your project Statement of Work (SOW) to complete all project duties.  We can also provide asset inventory collection data by capturing outgoing and incoming serial numbers and asset tag information.  

 

   We can also provide valuable feedback which may help streamline and improve repeatable project deployments.  Some projects might include working with your remote helpdesk or network teams to reconfigure existing equipment or install new equipment and enable network connection for custom configurations.

   Clients range from big corporations such as IBM, Toshiba, Lenovo, Lexmark, RBC, TD, BNS, BMO, CIBC, HSBC, VanCity, Canadian Tire, NetApp and Costco to the local coffee shop and residential home office user.

FraserBay Solutions is a Kelowna based company located in the beautiful Okanagan Valley of British Columbia, Canada.  We provide hardware break/fix services for most IT equipment.  We diagnose issues with your hardware and provide the hands-on repair.  This could be replacing a failing part, performing preventative maintenance or updating firmware. We repair Lenovo branded devices including ThinkPad laptops, ThinkCentre PCs, ThinkServers and Lenovo Storage.  We also perform preventative maintenance and repair on most types of Lexmark printers, IBM & Toshiba Point of Sale systems, Diebold Nixdorf ATMs, ARCA and Wincor Nixdorf cash recyclers found in most Canadian Banking institutions.  We also maintain and repair various types of IBM tape and disk storage products.

 

We provide a wide range of project duties commonly known as IMAC services.  IMAC project work involves Installations, Moves, Adds, Changes.  This type of service is often performed after hours or on weekends to avoid disruption to your day to day business.  Whether it's installing new IT hardware at your business or configuring a new cash unit at a bank, we're here to get the work done.  We can also be onsite to assist your remote network teams to configure network equipment (rack and configure).

Colin Fraser, Owner

Colin has worked in the IT industry since 1990 when he joined IBM Global Services as a Systems Engineer.  After many years as an onsite technician he moved into professional services as a Solution Architect and then Project Manager.  Colin successfully deployed many retail infrastructure and services projects for over 6 years before returning to the field to work directly with IBM's customers as an onsite service technician.
